Draft for the waitlist phase · last updated 16 October 2026

This notice explains how Oceanbreeze Concepts (Pty) Ltd ("TiroDesk", "we") handles personal data under Botswana's Data Protection Act, 2024.

What we collect

  • Applicants (workers): name, email, phone number, date of birth, your CV and the details in it (education, work history, skills), the kinds of work you choose, your equipment and internet, and your skills-test answers and results.
  • Businesses registering interest: contact name, business name, email, phone, town, and what you need help with.
  • Technical data: IP address and login records, used for security and abuse prevention.

We do not collect Omang copies, selfies or payment details during the waitlist. We ask for those only after we invite you.

Why we use it

  • To assess applications and decide whom to invite (test results, experience, equipment).
  • To contact you about your application or enquiry.
  • To keep the platform safe: detecting duplicate or fake accounts and preventing abuse.

Automatic CV reading

If you agree when you upload your CV, we send it to Anthropic, the provider of the Claude AI service, to read it and pre-fill your profile. Anthropic is based outside Botswana, so this is a cross-border transfer, and we only do it with your consent. Anthropic processes the CV on our behalf and does not use it to train its models. You can decline and fill in your profile yourself instead. The AI fills in your profile; it does not decide whether you are accepted. Our staff make every decision.

Who can see your data

Only TiroDesk staff during the waitlist. When the marketplace opens, businesses will see a worker's profile (not their CV, contact details or date of birth) when choosing whom to hire.

How long we keep it

While your application or account is active. If we do not accept your application, or you ask us to, we delete your CV and profile within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

Your rights

You may ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]. You may also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commission.

Security

CVs are stored privately and never published on a public web address. Only logged-in staff can open them, and the site uses encrypted connections.
